Dashpoint Name: North Avenue and Kuhn A nice quick driveby - this dashpoint lies in the yard of a house that I'm sure years ago was not on such a busy thoroughfare. North Avenue is a major four-lane divided highway, and yet there's a cluster of homes by this dashpoint that still have the houses driveways opening onto this almost-expressway-road. The particular home subscribed to the Daily Journey, according to the paper box at the end of the driveway, and is a one-story ranch home with brown shingles. 3 points for Markwell and Trailblazers

I was heading up Farnsworth Avenue to pick up some radios, so I decided to try Kane & Able amd 2 CBR's 1000th out. This one was a DNF, but had I read up on it, I would have found that no one has found this since April 1, and there have been many tries. No worries, though - just headed off to find 2 CBR's 1000th.

I was heading up Farnsworth Avenue to pick up some radios, so I decided to try this and Kane & Able out. After a no find on Kane & Able, this one was just peachy - exactly where I expected it when I spotted the hiding spot from about 250 feet away. Nice cache, nice swag, and that great echoing CLICK when the ammo can closes in a forest.

Dashpoint Name: North of Oberweis and the Temple I was in the area picking up some equipment for a meeting and I was able to snag this one. It's on a cul-de-sac just east of a fairly large N/S corridor road: Randall Road. The point itself is on the sidewalk between the two duplex houses that numbered 728 and 740 on Harmony Court. But the area itself is a little more interesting than the dashpoint. Oberweis Dairy is locally known as a throw-back to the old dairies where the milkman came around to deliver glass bottles to the home. They still do this (of course at a premium cost). James Oberweis also unsuccessfully ran for governor in the state primary with the slogan of "Got Guv?". The main plant for the Dairy is about a mile south of the dashpoint. Continuing on south on Randall Road is the Sri Venkateswara swami (Balaji) temple (around N 41° 47.508 W 088° 20.806) - a Hindu temple situated in the middle of no where, and one of the most beautiful and ornate buildings I've seen locally. 3 points for Markwell and Trailblazers
